Spring 2026 zephy.dev updates - Tag filtering, layout polish, and more
What’s new on zephy.dev?
I’ve been iterating on the site’s design and usability, focusing on making the blog and portfolio easier to browse and more visually consistent. Here’s a rundown of the most notable changes from the last few weeks:
Blog tag filtering
The tag filter UI got a major overhaul. Only the top tags are shown by default, with a new “Show all” button to expand the full list and a “Show less” button to collapse it back. Tag badges now show post counts, and the filter logic is more robust—making it much easier to find posts by topic. The tag display is now more responsive and visually consistent, especially on mobile.
Improved mobile usability
Mobile layout and navigation have been refined across the site. The splash section, blog, and portfolio pages now adapt better to small screens, with improved spacing, stacking, and touch targets. The tag filter and post cards are easier to interact with on mobile, and overall readability is much improved.
Layout and prose polish
Site-wide layout tweaks make content more readable and visually balanced. The prose styling for blog posts and portfolio entries has been enhanced for clarity, with better font sizing, spacing, and color contrast. The accent color system remains, but backgrounds are now pure white/black for a cleaner look. The footer and navigation have also been updated for consistency.
Workflow and tagging improvements
A new formatting workflow was added for blog posts, and the tagging system is smarter—handling aliases and normalizing tags (like “zephy.dev” always showing as 💨 zephy.dev). Tagging is now more consistent across posts, and the codebase is easier to maintain.
Thanks for reading and for following along as I keep improving zephy.dev! If you have feedback, ideas, or spot anything weird, feel free to reach out. More updates and experiments are always on the way.
